Destination: Home
Destination: Home is a public-private partnership ending homelessness in SiliconValley. Through our collective impact model, we convene and collaborate withstakeholders across our community to address the root causes of homelessnessand drive true systemic change. We embrace a data-driven and human approach- advocating for policies, incubating new ideas and programs, and investing instrategies to connect more of our homeless neighbors to a stable home andprevent homelessness before it begins. Our work is grounded in a commitment toadvancing racial and socioeconomic justice - and working together, we can builda community where homelessness is rare, brief and non-recurring.
American National Red Cross
The American Red Cross has several hundred trained disaster workers providing assistance across California. They are working with partners and emergency management at the federal, state and tribal levels to support dozens of shelters and provide essential supplies, meals and snacks; volunteers are also assisting families with replacement of prescription medications and other critical medical equipment like canes and wheelchairs. Teams will conduct damage assessments as it becomes safe to do so, to determine additional needs and how communities can be further supported.
World Central Kitchen, Inc.
World Central Kitchen has teams on the ground working with local restaurant partners to prepare and serve tens of thousands of meals to people in impacted areas. They also distributed groceries to over 100 needy families; and are continuing to assess needs in other areas including Sonoma County, Yolo County, Santa Cruz and Monterey.
Team Rubicon
Team Rubicon has teams on the ground coordinating with emergency management and assisting with mucking out / expedient repairs of flooded homes, roof tarping, debris management and chainsaw services.
