If Yanomami is ill, so is Planet Earth The Yanomami Indigenous Territory is the largest of its kind in Brazil and was established in 1992 by the government. The Yanomami people believe they are the guardians of the Amazon Forest - in the words of Shaman Davi Kopenawa: “there is only one sky and we must take care of it, if it becomes sick, everything will come to an end”. Last month, Brazilian government declared a public health emergency in the Yanomami Indigenous Territory. Shocking images of starving children and elders were made public, bringing attention to the tragedy caused by years of illegal mining in this region of Amazon. Protecting the rights of Indigenous and local communities, and strengthening their economies, is not just the right thing to do. It’s the smart thing to do. Indigenous people take care of forests better than anyone in the world, and we all need healthy forests to slow climate change. The Green Team Brazil created a fund-raising campaign to support the Yanomami people through the work of ISA – Instituto Socioambiental, a non-profit organization devoted to defend Brazilian indigenous communities and their socio-environmental diversity. February is Black History Month in several countries across the world and at Pinterest, we’re kicking off a global celebration to Find Your Routes to Black Travel – whether that is reading up on Black travel history, planning your own trip to learn more about Black experiences throughout the diaspora, or making an impact in the community by donating to causes that uplift and empower the Black travel movement. Help out to create a sensory room in an elementary school "Prof. Noykov" in Yambol, Bulgaria where currently 17 children with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are studying. The amount of money required to equip a sensory room is estimated at 5,000 to 6000 USD.

On the evening of Saturday, January 21st, 10 people were killed and 10 people were wounded during a Lunar New Year celebration affected by a shooting. On Monday, January 24th, another 7 people were killed in another shooting. This fundraiser is supporting VictimsFirst, a nonprofit partner of Raised By Us. VictimsFirst is a network of surviving victims of mass casualty crime and trusted supporters who have first-hand experiences of the problems and re-victimization that accompany these acts when there is a lack of coordinated effort and/or understanding of what survivors need.

World Cancer Day falls on February 4th each year and raises awareness surrounding the global fight to cure cancer. Lunar New Year is the all-encompassing term to represent the vast number of communities that observe the lunar calendar, and traditions vary across cultures. The Lunar New Year Fund was created to spotlight AAPI-led organizations across the country who provide support and resources to Asian-American communities, celebrate and uplift Asian culture, and fight for Asian representation, justice, and equality.

The difference between rural areas and big metropolitans within China are greater than that of New York and west Virginia. I would like to raise a funding and set up a project to help the children in the less developed areas in China, especially with their education. Donating to a charity organization directly is less transparent, donating to my fund will show the total donated amount in a progress bar. This is the difference between a donation to my funding, and a donation to any charity organization. With this dedicated funding, we will be able to target the real children who need our help most, and really tailed our funding to their specific need. Currently, there are two organization selected in my fund. What I will do next is to contact them and see if they already have projects meeting my criteria. If not, I will discuss with them and pick only ONE organization and set up a dedicated project together, to make sure that the fund is really used for the targeted group of poor children in China. NOTE: This fund was started in 2023 when I was in US. There was a NGO in China that was qualified by Bright Fund. However, Bright Fund does not support any organizations in China mainland since 2024. and this has to be suspended. In 2025, there was new organizations added to support China. so we will have to choose a different organization than the initial one in China.
