CLOSED: 2022 Disaster Relief - Tropical Cyclone Nalgae Fund
Tropical Cyclone Nalgae struck the Philippines on October 29, 2022 - with extreme rainfall causing landslides and flooding that inundated multiple towns and villages across 74 provinces. At least 156 people have died, with dozens reported missing. As of early November, over 1 million people remain displaced inside 1,186 evacuation centers, and nearly 35,000 homes have been damaged or destroyed. Early estimates are that damage to infrastructure and agriculture will exceed $128M.
Cisco Foundation has launched a $25K Tropical Cyclone Nalgae campaign to raise funds that will support Islamic Relief USA, Rise Against Hunger Philippines, Save the Children, and SOS Children's Villages Philippines.
