Compass Center was created from the merger on July 1, 2012, of Family Violence Prevention Center of Orange County (founded in 2000) and The Women's Center (founded in 1979). Compass Center's mission is to support the safety, wellbeing, and choice of survivors of domestic violence and others impacted by relationship abuse through crisis services, advocacy, and education. As the state-designated domestic violence service agency for Orange County, North Carolina, we serve the community through our Crisis, Stability, and Prevention programs and services. All services are free, confidential, and voluntary.
