PUSH For Change - Reduce disparities in accessing orthopaedic care Fund
Orthopaedic surgeons help people recover from sports medicine injuries and to stay active. They
treat patients of all ages:
• Kids with fractures
• Adults with strained shoulders and hand or knee injuries
• Older adults needing total hip and knee replacements
But, sadly, not all patients have adequate access to orthopaedic care. Often, there are challenges getting a timely referral to an orthopaedic surgeon. At other times, patients lack the information to know when they need the care of a specialist.
However, you can help improve patients’ access to orthopaedic surgeons.
To combat these problems, the California Orthopaedic Foundation, a California-based Foundation is involved in a PUSH for change right here in your local communities to:
- Promote active patient lifestyles and healthy bones;
- Unite to work on community orthopaedic projects;
- Support orthopaedic research; and
- Help educate patients.
100% of your donation goes to these community projects.
With your support we will:
- Expand community outreach and education.
- Reduce disparities in accessing orthopaedic care – age/socio-economic/gender/insurance status.
- Increase public awareness of the crucial importance of receiving appropriate and timely orthopaedic
care.
We would very much appreciate your support.
