Rising Together to Support Youth in Foster Care Fund

At any given time, there are approximately 430,000 foster youth in the U.S. with 1,200 new youth entering the system each day. Foster youth often have to face new and unfamiliar environments with little warning or preparation. On average, a child will move foster homes 4-6 times while in the system. Youth navigating this system can often lack a sense of normalcy or feelings that they can completely be themselves. Most foster youth do not have many possessions or have access to typical childhood activities that are critical to healthy development and sense of self-worth.
