International Association For Human Values
Project Oasis is executed under the International Association for Human Values (IAHV). We are focused on developing self-sustained water resources for water desperate villages in India. By identifying strategic locations with scientific research and local expertise, we build check dams for the villages to ensure year-round availability of water sourced by rainwater harvesting techniques. Our on-ground partner, Aakar Charitable Trust has built 350+ check dams and transformed the lives of 400,000 people in and around Rajasthan.
We intend to build 1000 check dams by 2025 and bring a positive change in the lives of 2 Million villagers.
We are entrepreneurs, software engineers, and scientists, geographically located in the US, Canada, South Africa, and India.
International Association for Human Values was created in Geneva in 1997 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar as a global platform for humanitarian initiatives that solve problems by uplifting human values. IAHV is registered as a 501(c)(3) in the United States. IAHV fosters daily practice of human values – a sense of contentedness and respect for all people and the natural environment, an attitude of non-violence, and an ethic of social service. Through its country organizations and partners, IAHV conducts service projects and raises funds for humanitarian and disaster relief initiatives throughout the world.
