About
Our neighbor's needs through this pandemic remains high. The Sunday Friends Foundation has been breaking the generational cycle of poverty in San Jose since 1997. Since the start of COVID, they've hosted a drive-through distributing 27,500 basic necessities and 50,260 pounds of food as well as hosted 52 learning-based zoom classes (3100 attendees). 100% of families served by the nonprofit have lost their jobs and 79% are worried about paying rent. 67% share they are worried about facing eviction once the moratorium lifts. The Sunday Friends Foundation continues to need funds to provide direct rent relief and distribute necessities.
