Fund the Fight to Find the CURE for Blood Cancers!

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Fighting Blood Cancers since 1949 "Every 3 minutes someone in the United States is diagnosed with blood cancer" There are too many of us who have people in our lives who are currently fighting or have fought battles with cancer. My family has had a personal battle with Myeloma - a Blood Cancer. In my wife Sue’s and my life there have been many, many cancer battles by family and friends. In 1982, I found myself trying to understand how this could possibly be happening to my dad. He was diagnosed with Multiple-Myeloma, a bone and blood cancer with no known cure at the time. He was given 6-months to live by his doctors. His diagnosis became "our" diagnosis. His fight became "our" fight. We are all so grateful for the efforts, hard work, and accomplishments that the doctors, researchers and chemists had already achieved in the battle against Bone and Blood cancers (including the team from LLS). Their efforts allowed my father to take treatments (radiology and chemotherapy) that allowed him to extend his life more than 2-years. Yet we want more for the families that are faced with similar circumstances. We want more for all the patient's that are given the frightening news that they too have cancer. This is why my wife and I are dedicated to help raise the funds needed to allow the men and women of science and medicines to put an end to cancer. We firmly believe we will find a cure for these diseases in our lifetime. We look forward to sharing with our children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, that we all took part in funding that cure! We have joined a team that is working to raise as much funding as possible over the next 10 years to find cures for blood cancer. Funds will not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
