About

This fund is focused on helping Chinese charities working directly in the affected region to help care workers at the front lines of the Coronavirus Outbreak in the Wuhan area. Few NGOs have direct presence in China, so we have curated a list of those that we can support that will get aid most efficiently and effectively into the affected areas. We will add more as we vet them

Huanggang High School Overseas

Huanggang Middle School North America Alumni Association is raising funds and sourcing medical products from across the world to address the shortages of medical supplies in Huanggang. The association are working directly with hospitals in Huanggang, including those hospitals and clinics in the rural areas. All the supplies will be directed to local hospitals and clinics in need.

This fund was proposed by Dongjing Guo, Clinical Affairs who went to college in Wuhan, the epicenter of the Coronavirus outbreak, and was born in Huanggang, a satellite city in China that is only 40 miles away from Wuhan. Her father works in Huanggang Central Hospital, which was one the designated hospitals to admit suspected patients, currently the hospital is in desperate need of emergency medical supplies.

Huanggang is the second most affected city in the current Coronavirus outbreak, and is currently under a lock-down. Huanggang with a population of 7.1 million, is the second least developed area in Hubei Province. Due to the scale of the Coronavirus outbreak and its poverty, it is in desperate need of help from the outside, especially hospitals and clinics in remote rural areas.
