Chicago Human Rhythm Project
Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) presents rhythm-culture in performances, education programs and community development initiatives that foster great art, social reconciliation and economic justice. CHRP centers artists, companies and communities deeply connected to the practice of ancient foot, hand and vocal rhythmic traditions as they continue to evolve as living, relevant contemporary art forms. CHRP platforms American Tap, African, Native American, Indian, Mexican Folkloric, Irish Step and other culturally specific, rhythm-centric art forms. CHRP organizes collaborative, rhythm-centric cultural programs that foster economic justice and community development.
